The Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Vissamsetty Venkataratnam (SKPVV) Hindu High Schools Committee, which oversees the administration of Chitturi High School, was established by a group of philanthropists from the business community of Vijayawada, Krishna (dist.), Andhra Pradesh in 1906. These visionaries gathered donations from like-minded individuals to launch a primary school aimed at providing education to underprivileged students in the local area and neighboring villages, where educational facilities were scarce at the time. The society was officially registered with the Register of Krishna District on 27th November 1915. Over the years, the organization expanded its reach, adding several more schools and colleges, while also increasing its membership. A key aspect of the history of Chitturi High School lies in the commitment to a professional approach in its administration. The committee members consistently convened to assess the socio-economic conditions of the town and surrounding villages, continually striving to establish educational institutions to uplift the poor and needy.

To establish schools and colleges in and around Vijayawada for providing education to those who are desirous of being literate, including institutions like Chitturi High School. Our aim is to run these educational institutions with high standards and without discrimination based on caste, creed, or religion. We extend our helping hand to society by providing various facets of education and imparting higher education to all segments of society, with a special emphasis on students from socially and economically backward sections. Value-based education remains a cornerstone of our philosophy. We study and implement various ways to encourage education by setting up diverse institutions, including the well-regarded Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Vissamsetty Venkataratnam. Our goal is to provide general education as well as technical and job-oriented programs. We particularly aim to increase literacy levels among women through educational facilities that lead to women empowerment. Additionally, we foster social concern and civil responsibilities among our talented youth. We undertake the construction of buildings and facilities to manage these institutions effectively. Establishing libraries with useful books and periodicals for students, teachers, and the public is also a priority, alongside creating suitable facilities for poor and meritorious students through scholarships and mid-day meal schemes.
